Shipping Policy
Welcome — thanks for shopping at Shyam Textile. This Shipping Policy explains how we process, ship, track, and deliver your orders. Our goal is to get your handloom and textile treasures to you quickly and safely — and to keep you informed every step of the way.
1. Order processing time
We process and dispatch most orders within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will begin processing on the next business day. If an item is custom-made, made-to-order, or out of stock, processing may take longer — we’ll note that on the product page and at checkout. (Shopify)
2. Shipping regions & delivery estimates
- Domestic (India): Standard delivery typically takes 3–7 business days depending on your city and the courier. For metro areas we often offer faster delivery (2–4 days).
- International: Delivery times vary by country (usually 7–21 business days). International orders may be subject to customs clearance delays.
Delivery estimates listed at checkout are best-effort estimates and start from the date of dispatch (not order placement). Regional carriers, weather, and customs can affect delivery times. (Flipkart)
3. Shipping charges & free shipping
- Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, package weight, and selected shipping method.
- Free domestic shipping for orders above ₹1,499 (or current promotional threshold shown on the site). If a free-shipping promotion applies, it will be visible at checkout. We reserve the right to change thresholds or run limited-time promotions. (Shopify)
4. Shipping methods & courier partners
We partner with multiple trusted courier services to give you the best mix of speed and coverage. Typical partners include national and regional carriers; the actual courier for your order will be shown on your order confirmation and tracking page. We may use multiple couriers during high demand or for remote addresses. Choosing the right courier and packaging is part of our fulfillment best practices. (Shiprocket)
5. Order tracking
Once your order ships, you’ll receive:
- A shipping confirmation email and/or SMS, and
- A tracking number with a link to the courier’s tracking page.
If you don’t receive tracking details within 48 hours of dispatch, please contact us at the details below.
6. Failed delivery / address issues
- Please ensure your delivery address and phone number are correct at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses or incomplete information.
- If a courier attempts delivery and you miss them, they may re-attempt or leave a pickup note — follow the courier instructions or contact us and we’ll help. Additional re-delivery charges (if any) may be passed on to you.
7. Lost, stolen or damaged shipments
- If your shipment is marked “delivered” by the courier but you did not receive it, contact us within 7 days so we can open an inquiry with the courier and assist you.
- For damaged items, keep all packaging and take photos of the damage. File a claim with us within 48 hours of delivery so we can process a replacement or refund quickly. We follow standard courier claim procedures and will work with the carrier to resolve the issue. (Sell on Amazon)
8. Customs, duties & import taxes (international orders)
International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes or clearance fees charged by the destination country. These are not included in the product price or shipping charges and must be paid directly to the customs authority or courier as required. Customs processing can also cause delivery delays. (Shopify)
9. Order changes & cancellations
- If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us immediately. If the order has not yet been dispatched we’ll do our best to accommodate the change. Once dispatched, cancellations may not be possible and return/shipping rules will apply.
- For custom or made-to-order products, cancellations may not be possible once production has begun.
10. Returns & exchanges
Returns and exchanges are handled under our separate Returns & Refunds Policy (link). Please review that policy for time limits, item condition requirements, and refund timelines.
11. Packaging & sustainability
We pack orders to protect textiles during transit using recyclable or reusable materials where possible. For fragile or high-value items we may use additional protective packaging. Our packaging meets courier guidelines for safe handling. (Jungle Scout)

We may update this policy from time to time (check the “Last updated” date above). During festivals, sales, or force-majeure events delivery times may be longer than normal — we’ll communicate any expected delays proactively.
